Jewish Genealogical Society of North Jersey

The Jewish Genealogical Society of North Jersey is a non-profit organization dedicated to assist members with their genealogical pursuits.

Monthly Meetings: The Society meets monthly at the Charles Goldman Library of the YM-YWHA of Wayne. Check "Meetings Info/Dates" for details.

Expert Guidance: New members are welcome and will receive valuable assistance with their individual research needs.

Newsletter of J.G.S. of North Jersey:The J.G.S. of North Jersey publishes the quarterly newsletter, "Yichus". Exchange of newsletters and information with other JGS societies There are approximately 70 societies in the United States and other countries. Many exchange newsletters.

Our society is fortunate to have a permanent home. WE HAVE AN EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF the most popular books relevant to Jewish Genealogy available when the library is open. (Not for circulation) A list is available to members. Forms, how-to's, books, magazines, microfiche, and other resources. Other society newsletters, genealogical publications, how-to's, forms for sending, microfiche, and many other "goodies" are kept on file.
